Permaculture is a design approach to living. It provides a range of tools and principles we can use to modify our thinking and apply common sense to getting our needs met.
It has an ethical framework, without which, our designs might not benefit anybody, ourselves included.
The ethics are:

What I like about Permaculture.....
- It's creative - solves problems and aims to repair damage already done
- It's empowering - we take the initiative when we design solutions
- It's a cooperative model - it's about creating beneficial relationships and harmony with nature and each other
- It uses nature's patterns and wisdom as a template for design
- It's inclusive, anybody can do it if they want to!
- It's constantly evolving and refining, using evaluation and feedback
- Zone 5 - reserving a space to 'let things be'!
